The first edition of Smorgasbord was a huge success! Ten students met all year to plan, promote, review submissions, and publish the first ever literary magazine on the campus of Fernandina Beach Middle School.
Smorgasbord made its debut at the FBMS Coffeehouse this past May. Close to a hundred people gathered to hang out, eat desserts, drink coffee, and listen to the writers featured in the magazine. Special guest poet Malcolm Randall was also there and spoke several of his cool poems.
I hope next year's student body will be able to produce another great edition of Smorgasbord...all you can read!
